Sarreguemines is one of France's most storied ceramics manufacturers, established in 1790 in the Lorraine region near the French-German border. The manufactory became renowned for its refined decorative tableware, supplying pieces to Napoleon I and producing the original tiles for the Paris Metro. The 'Didier' pattern reflects the charming floral faience tradition of the late 19th to early 20th century, when scattered botanical motifs and feathered blue borders were hallmarks of French provincial table culture. Each plate bears the maker's mark on the reverse, a mark of authenticity and heritage.
